Pets On Wheels is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that brings friendly therapy pet visits to people across the Eastern Shore of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
Great Therapy Dogs Start with You!
The canine volunteers of are both purebred and mixed-breed. They are well-trained, friendly, gentle companion animals and love meeting new people.
Dog-and-Handler Teams!
Our human volunteers, together with their well-behaved pets, become experienced, compassionate visitors to facilities that have clients in need of a friendly visit and companionship.
Where do we visit?
Together with their handlers, our dogs visit nursing homes, care and rehabilitation facilities, schools, libraries, businesses, and more. Dog-and-handler teams can visit singly, but they often visit in groups.
Does Your Dog Need a Job?
From friendly visits with seniors to helping kids improve their reading, dogs, handlers, and clients all get that warm fuzzy feeling of unconditional love from Pets On Wheels visits.
